After reaching the 100,000 mile mark, my traverse ran rough, had slow acceleration, and sometimes low power. The mpg went down drastically from aprx 320 per tank to btwn 230-250. It was well maintained with routine oil changes, recently with synthetic oil due to the high mileage. I changed the spark plugs and air filter, which helped for a short time. In 2015, our vehicle began making weird sound on acceleration and deceleration. Acceleration would ramp slowly or stall sporadically while in motion. We took it into a chevy dealership, where we were told that the timing chain was stretched. We paid for the repair. In november 2017, the same events occurred again while in motion.
