2012 Chevrolet Traverse Tire Sizes

The 2012 Chevrolet Traverse is listed with five tire sizes: 245/70R17, 255/55R20, 255/60R19, 255/65R18, and 265/40R22. These are alternative fitments, not a recommendation that every size works on every Traverse. Match the size to the vehicle’s original wheels and equipment before buying replacement tires.

The numbers and letter identify tire dimensions and construction; the final number is the wheel diameter in inches. The listed sizes correspond to different wheel and tire combinations, so the correct fitment can vary by trim or installed wheels. The facts do not identify which trim uses each size, and they do not provide load or speed ratings. Confirm the tire size and ratings for your specific vehicle on the door jamb or in the owner’s manual.

Use the listed size as a starting point, then check the vehicle’s label or manual rather than choosing a size based only on appearance. If the tire currently fitted differs from the original specification, verify that it is approved for your Traverse before replacement.
