I had my service air bag light come on and has stayed on and had a coder ran on it at my local chevy dealer . They said there is something in the driver seatbelt triggering it.

Service air bag alert and associated panel light are showing. Took vehicle to my mechanic and was informed that the problem is the driver's side lap pretensioner. A search on nhtsa site resulted in recall # 14v266000. Problem is my vin does not appear on nhtsa or gm databases as an affected vin. Light is persistently on at all times.

Air bag light intermittently illuminates while stationary and in motion on any type of road. Dealer says it is an issue with a seat beat retractor. Air bag light on = air bags will not deploy n the event of an accident. The quote was over $500 to fix this issue.

My service airbag light came on, and my mechanic also noted that there was an issue with my passenger seat belt anchor pretensioner deployment loop. This car has been in no accidents, and these issues should be recalled, but my dealer says there is no recall.

When people try to sit or scoot over, they have been injured and complained to me about this problem. I don't think its an issue with the persons size,…
